5th Grade Committee

June feels far away, but it will be here in no time! We are looking for parents interested in bringing our fifth grade traditions to life. We need a Chair for the committee and also committee members for the 5th grade party, Class Gift, and culmination decor.

We are looking to assemble a committee by mid-November, so please respond by Nov 6th.

What do we need from families right now?

Join the committee! We will also need your help raising funds to cover the 5th grade committee budget. Historically, this has been done through weekly snack sales and bake sales. But the PTA is open to ideas from the committee.

Budget

PTA has budgeted $3,750 for 5th grade committee, including funds for the party, class gift, and culmination.

We ask that the 5th Grade Committee raise enough funds to cover this committee's budget. Any extra funds raised goes back to the PTA and helps pay other bills, such as the school bus for Pali Camp and yearbooks. 

Co-Chair Responsibilities

Oversee activities to raise funds for the 5th grade budget, convene regular planning meetings, track budget, work with school to schedule/plan activities, work with PTA Board on proposed plans, communicate information with Room Parents.

Time commitment: 

1 hr/week, depending on activities. Planning for the party begins after spring break.
