Ready Set Tech, Jog-A-Thon & Campus Beautification Day Coming Up!

SO MUCH going on!

Thursday 4/24 is Ready, Tech, Go in our Auditorium, 5:30-7pm.
 Thanks to support from AT&T and National PTA, McKinley Elementary PTA secured a grant from program organizers and want to make it available to all parents and caregivers at McKinley. Participating families will receive content that will empower and inform good decisions about preparing students for healthy phone and other digital device use.

Friday, April 25 - Jog-A-Thon!

After being postponed from March 14th due to rain, our Jog-a-Thon is back on April 25th—and it’s going to be better than ever! The weather is looking perfect, we’ve got fresh legs from spring break, we’ve already met our $40,000+ fundraising goal, so all we have left to do is run and cheer! This year’s Jog-a-Thon will be even more special because we’re also celebrating Holi, the Hindu festival of colors! While the original Jog-a-Thon date fell on Holi and has since passed, we’re excited to honor our original vision.

Schedule:

1st: 8:40 - 9:05 AM

TK / K 9:15 - 9:40 AM

PK: 9:50 - 10:10 AM

2nd/Mr. Ucan: 10:25 - 10:50 AM

3rd: 11:00 - 11:25 AM

4th: 11:35 AM - 12:00 PM

5th: 12:10 - 12:35 PM

T-shirts will be distributed to students the day of. We could still use volunteers to help us with the swag table, assist with our magnet table between 10:25-10:50am, and help with setup & cleanup. 

Earth Day Celebration and Campus Beautification Day - 4/27 10 AM-12 PM

Join us this Sunday for our Earth Day Celebration and Campus Beautification Day, hosted by our amazing PTA and Sustainability Beautification Committee! From 10:00 AM–12:00 PM, we’ll come together as a community for a morning of spring craft projects, garden bed preparation, and campus clean-up. It’s a great way to honor the planet and show our McKinley pride!

🌱 New this year: Bring 5 recyclable containers (plastic bottles or cans) and receive a free McKinley tote bag as a thank-you gift!
