Wow! Yesterday was filled with Kickoff Assemblies for the official launch of our annual Jog-A-Thon, to be held on March 1st. Mac the Lion made an appearance and the kids had tons of fun. We also debuted the winning Jog-A-Thon t-shirt design and magnets (congratulations to Nico G., Breanna P., and Dylan L.!). Oh! And the kids learned that if we achieve our $68,000 fundraising goal, they will get a Lunch Time Dance Party and an opportunity to SLIME our new principal, Ms. DW.
As you may know, Jog-A-Thon is a 15-minute fun run on the McKinley track and is our PTA’s most important fundraiser of the year. It’s the only fundraiser directly involving the students.
We have already raised over $4,000, but need your help to reach our goal!
This year, every family is invited to create personalized fundraising pages for their students on mckinleypta.com.
As part of launching the Jog-A-Thon on our website, we've uploaded every family that receives Room Parent emails to Membership Toolkit, the website host for McKinleyPTA.com.
If you haven't logged into McKinleyPTA.com before, click the button below, and using the email address on the room parent list, reset the password.
Once you’ve claimed your account, you’ll be asked to update your student’s grade and teacher. You’ll also see a link to your child’s personal 2024 Jog-A-Thon page!
For your convenience, beginning February 6th we will send emails on a weekly basis to any email addresses you upload to your student’s page to encourage friends and family to sponsor your child and provide them with updates on the Big Day.
Hot ticket items include: Gift Cards, Services (including wellness), and Experiences (think: wine testing). We even have a parent who will give a personal tour of her pottery studio. Be creative!
